Great Throw-bought 2

I have had several brands of electric blankets, and this little throw is very convenient and works great. I keep it in my family room and use it jsut about every evening in the winter. I've even purchased a second throw to bring to the office.
It gets hot very quickly and heats evenly. The amount of heat on full is very very warm which is important to me. It's jsut about as warm as a heating pad. Great for muscle soreness after work outs.
The on off switch seems a bit flimsey, but I've had no issues after using it for 2 months.
If you leave the blanket turned on, it will shut itself off, but beware that the lighted display is still lit. This threw me at first and I thought the blanked didn't shut off, but it did.

| I purchased this throw because I always seem to be cold. I've only used once since I bought it yesterday but it kept me warm. All the blankets I saw do have a pattern of stripes or plaid so if you want a solid blanket choose another one. |
Worked well for two years, then the control melted.

| I got this for my mom, and in it's defense, I must say older people tend to leave their electric blankets on 'high' all night, (probably not a good thing for them OR the blanket), as they have less circulation in their legs. But anyway, after two years, the on/off temperature control literally melted out of shape. It didn't start a fire or anything, but the plastic warped. I'd be extra careful with these, and all, electric blankets. |
Stopped working after two months and warrantee process unsatisfactory

I bought a Biddeford electric throw in July. The controller light went out and the blanket stopped heating after only two months. I called the Warrantee telephone number and was instructed by an answering machine to leave my number. A return authorization number is required. I'm still waiting for a response. The company website is confusing, doesn't work very well, and reference to needed links on return pages are not present. Cannot recommend this company or its products.
Well, a week later. Customer Service finally reached me. We immediately had an argument because she wanted all of the information I already had entered when I registered the blanket on the website and which she either did not want to access or could not access. While we were going through this unpleasant exchange, I was reminded about how unhappy I was that the blanket stopped working after such a short time, Biddeford's time consuming and unfriendly return policies, multiple trips to the post office, and mailing expenses I would have to incur to exchange the blanket for another one that probably would stop working like its predecessor. I told myself, no more products from or by any store that requires a return authorization number that cannot be obtained with one phone call or one email message. Moreover, Goodman's (and Amazon) should not sell, or facilitate the selling, of products made by any company that does not make it easy to exchange products that are defective. |

| I searched all over the web for a green electric throw blanket. When it arrived, I opened the box and inside is a blue, plaid, electric throw blanket. |
