| This product was a very good purchase. It has a long side vent to fit any size mattress. Additionally, the way that the plugs are attached rules out any confusion. I use a heated mattress pad because of health conditions. I would recommend a heated mattress pad to anyone with arthritis or pain issues. This product is certainly an excellent investment for those who want a heated mattress pad, as it is very good quality. |

The dual control makes this a relationship saver! She can turn it all of the way up and I can leave mine at a low setting and we're both snug as a bug in a rug. Never get into a cold bed again, turn it on 30 minutes before you go to bed and it will warm!
CONS: The place where the wires attach to pad is on top of the sleeping surface. So your feet will hit the large square blocks if you're not intentionally avoiding them. Its the only reason I might look for another brand/model. But having a heated mattress pad makes winter freezing a thing of the past. You wont want to get out of bed in the morning! |

| Whoever designed this thing never slept on it or he is a midget. The connectors on the bottom of the pad hurt your feet every time you move your legs. It actually has woken me up and it hurts if you aren't careful. Other than that it is nice and warm. |

We purchased the Biddeford heated mattress pad as an alternative to an electric blanket and have been using it for about 2 months. It gets the bed moderately warm. It is deep enough to cover our 12-inch deep mattress, but it does not stay put on the bed. It doesn't have enough elastic on the part that slips under the mattress to keep it in place. It's a pain to have to pull the bottom sheet off and reposition the mattress pad every morning when you make the bed.
The electrical plug-ins at the bottom of the mattress take some getting used to. The plug-ins are hard plastic squares and can definitely be felt. They end up on top of the mattress at the foot of the bed, so you can feel it when your feet move over it. When we first got it, I woke up everytime my feet touch it. I thought about turning it around and having the plug-ins at the top of the bed, but I'm not convinced it'd be safe to have the electrical plug-ins under our pillows. I wish they'd have put them lower on the mattress pad.
This is the first heated mattress pad we've owned, so I don't know if these are common problems. It works okay, but it does have these design flaws. Given what I've experienced, I wouldn't recommend it. |
